KVM VPS Installation Guide

You can setup your VPS by running your desired OS installation through VNC. Fusioned offers a range of official ISOs from various distributions which you can mount to your VPS and install as if you were sitting right in front of the server.

  1. Log into SolusVM
  2. Click the CDRom tab
  3. Mount the desired ISO
  4. Make sure CDROM is before Hard Disk under Settings > Boot Order
  5. Reboot the VPS from the General tab
  6. Click VNC and perform the OS installation according to your needs
  7. Unmount the ISO and reset the Boot Order after installation is complete

Performance tips

Networking: We recommend that you use the Intel PRO/1000 or Virtio network card. Check out this guide if you need help in installing the Intel driver. The virtio network card doesn't need any extra configuration.
I/O: You can achieve the best I/O performance using the Virtio disk driver. You can select Virtio under Manage > Settings > Disk Driver in SolusVM. If Virtio does not work well with your OS, revert the setting back to IDE.
